Henrique Amaral

Son of Helênio Furtado do Amaral (1928) and Teresinha de Jesus Vilarinho Amaral (1931-1964). Stepson of Maria dos Remédios de Sousa Vilarinho Amaral. Actor, director, broadcaster, writer and press-releaser in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. Performances in school and amateur plays since 1968. Debut as professional actor in 1981, playing a General in "Esquerda, Direita, Volver!". Directed his first film, in 1982, in 8mm ("Quer com Manteiga, Freguesa?). Debut as author in 1984. Member of the alternative theater of Recife, in compagnies Ilusionistas and Coopera. Playing numerous roles in happenings and short/long plays in bar, theaters, universities and in the streets. Best remembered in role of writer Carlos Pena Filho in short "Soneto do Desmantelo Blue".
