Biography

Growing up in a small town in country NSW, Mitch's upbringing was filled with dirt bikes, swims in the river, pet deer and soccer.

A multi-disciplinary, multi-award winning artist, Mitch has been performing across stage and screen since the age of 11 in a career that has spanned over three decades.

For his stage work, he has most notably portrayed the leading roles in; Macbeth, The Crucible, A Checklist for an Armed Robber, The Return, A Streetcar Named Desire, and A Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

His musical theatre credits include; Jekyll and Hyde, Grease, Beauty and the Beast, Les Miserables and Jesus Christ Superstar. Mitch's vocal prowess was also featured on the 2016 season of Channel 9's 'The Voice'.

He has starred in numerous short films, winning awards across the international and domestic festival circuits. You may also recognise him from the Peacock/ Stan series 'Joe vs. Carole'.

In 2012, Mitch had two emergency surgeries to remove a large Brain Tumour. The surgeries left him with permanent. irreparable facial paralysis, giving him his unique look.

Mitch holds both a BA in Acting and Creative Writing, as well as a Master of Teaching from The University of Newcastle.

When he is not performing, Mitch enjoys playing with his son, riding fast motorcycles and cuddling random dogs on the street.
