Biography

Natalie Joy is an actor, filmmaker, and musician based in Austin, Texas. She has built a growing on-camera career with appearances in Apollo 10½: A Space Age Childhood, directed by Richard Linklater, now streaming on Netflix, as well as commercial campaigns for brands including Frost Bank, Anytime Fitness, and The Sims. She is also an avid student of the Meisner technique, grounding her performances in truthful, moment-to-moment work.

In addition to her screen work, Natalie is an award-winning full lyric soprano, described as a "superb soprano" by Broadway World for her performance in The Baker’s Wife with Alchemy Theatre. Her background in music and performance informs her character-driven approach to storytelling across mediums.

As a filmmaker, Natalie has written, directed, and produced three short films within the suspense and psychological thriller genres, with a continued focus on developing new work in this space. She also served as an associate producer on the feature film Lady Kings of Texas, contributing to a successful crowdfunding campaign that raised over $100,000 in four weeks. In addition, she has worked on numerous productions as an assistant director and production manager, further strengthening her expertise across all stages of production.

Outside of her performance work, Natalie supports her local arts community as a nonprofit leader in administration for a small, woman- and bipoc-led studio space and film school in Austin, Texas. Through this work, she empowers emerging filmmakers and storytellers to develop their craft and bring their stories to life.
