- Winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2007, presented to him by Peter Gabriel. At the same ceremony he won another Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to him and the other founding members of Pentangle by Sir David Attenborough.
