  • Dr. Shontelle Thrash is an actor, director, performance coach, and educator with over 25 years of experience across stage and screen. Her writing credits include The Counselor, The Bet, and Movement, a reflection on human-centered narratives. As a director for film and television, her credits include projects featured on Robert Townsend’s Playhouse 22 (Split Tale, Alzheimer’s Daughter), as well as Narcissistic Personality Disorder (U.C.A.R.E.), A Letter to Miema (Co-director) (Ajah Onu Productions), and several independent short films.

    Her theatre directing portfolio includes productions such as The Laramie Project, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, and Flyin’ West, along with devised works, play festivals, and productions staged across academic and professional settings. She is the founder of the Artists Showcase of Atlanta, where she has produced and directed a broad range of theatrical and filmed works spanning both original and established material.

    An accomplished actor and voiceover artist, Dr. Thrash has performed nationally and internationally. She holds a doctorate in Leadership with a specialization in coaching and consulting, an MFA in Theatre (Acting), and an MA in Communication (Film, Video, and Digital Imaging). She is Director of the Stage and Screen Program and Professor of Theatre and Communication at Clayton State University.
