Biography

Loretta Schrijver was born on May 16, 1956 in New York, USA. She was an actress, known for De TV Kantine (2009), Bij Ron... (2014) and De Jantjes (1984). She died on March 27, 2025 in Netherlands.

On May 28, 2007, she presented RTL Nieuws for the last time and made the switch to Omroep MAX, where she distanced a little more from current events.

The former presenter said that if she could live her life again, she would put everything in the name of helping animals. She loved animals very much, including her beloved dog Flip, who died in 2022.

Was a newscaster on RTL4 from 1989-2000 and from 2001-May 28, 2007.

After studying history and translation, she discovered the television world.

Loretta Schrijver wanted to become an actress but was rejected, twice, for the drama academy, and then studied to become a translator, in Amsterdam.
