Sylvie Meis was born on April 13, 1978 in Breda, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands. She is an actress, known for Elvy's Wereld So Ibiza! (2018), Costa! (2001) and Misfit (2019). She has been married to Niclas Castello since September 19, 2020. She was previously married to Rafael van der Vaart.

Had assumed her husband's last name since their wedding, and was known as Sylvie van der Vaart. After their divorce, she later reassumed her birth name.

She and her husband Dutch soccer player Rafael Van der Vaart, born February 11, 1983 are expecting their first baby at the end of June or the beginning of July 2006.

Son Damián Rafael van der Vaart, born May 28, 2006.

Has given birth to a son on May 28, 2006. His name is Damián Rafael van der Vaart. The baby had to be born before the start of the World Cup in Germany, because the father wanted to be present at birth.

May 2009 was diagnosed with breast-cancer, in November 2009 she gets the last treatments. There was no need for amputation. She is doing well, she even appeared in September on the Red Carpet of the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Berlin.
