Biography

Atanas Kiryakov was born on March 22, 1939 in Varna, Bulgaria. He graduated from the Higher School of Film Arts in Paris in 1963. He has worked at the BNT (1966-70) and at Vreme Studio (1970-82). He is the author of more than 100 films. Selected filmography: Let's Save the Air (1977), Equal to All (1983), For Official Use (1989), Case No 30 (1989), Survivals - Stories of the Concentration Camps (1990), The Condemned (1993), Eyes (1993), Remedy (2000), Boris Sarafov - the Man with a Star on His Brow (2003), Joel's Flying People (2007), Hell in Paradise (2006).
