- Dick Hutcherson was born on November 30, 1931 in Keokuk, Iowa, USA. He was an actor, known for Speedway (1968), Tiny Lund: Hard Charger! (1967) and NASCAR on CBS (1960). He died on November 6, 2005 in Columbia, South Carolina, USA.
- He joined NASCAR in 1964 after racing late models in the Midwest for almost a decade. He finished second in his second career start then joined the Charlotte based Holman-Moody team, for which he ran 52 races in 1965. In 1971 he and Eddie Pagan formed Hutcherson-Pagan building race cars used by drivers such as Darrell Waltrip and A.J. Foyt.
