  • Sohail Anjum, born and raised in London, England is a freelance producer, photographer and talent manager, who has worked in the film and television since the last 14 years. He also works for ShortsTV, where he leads the acquisitions of short films for Asia as well as managing the Best of Asia Short Film Festival. In the last four years of managing the festival, Sohail has managed to watch over 8000+ short film submissions.

    Prior to Shorts TV, Sohail Anjum was based in the UAE between 2013 - 2019, where he worked in content acquisition for a local OTT service where he oversaw strategy for English, Hindi and foreign language films, and TV series, and negotiated license agreements and managed key relationships with regional and international major and independent studios, content providers and filmmakers.

    He started off his media career in 1999 as Picture Editor for Eastern Eye Newspaper and then as in-house photographer for Asiana Magazine and was followed by a short stint as Entertainment Editor for a free local newspaper, Asian City. Sohail Anjum is also the co-author on the book, A Divine Destruction, which tells the unfinished story of the Kashmir earthquake in 2005.
