Born in Berkeley, CA. The Los Angeles-based guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and performer's work bridges traditional instrumentation and genre-defying creativity. Harris has built a dynamic career across performance, composition, and education with credits ranging from television networks like NBC, Disney+, Discovery and more; as well as various independent film and animation.

Born into a family of artists, Cabell Harris represents the third generation of a creative lineage. He began playing violin at age four, before turning to piano and eventually discovering the guitar at thirteen-a pivotal moment that marked the beginning of his lifelong dedication to music. Throughout high school, Harris studied under several regionally known guitarists, honing a style that draws equally from classical, folk, rock and experimental traditions. Raised in rural Northern California, Cabell's early exposure to music and visual art fostered a deep artistic sensitivity that continues to inform his musical voice.

His formal education took him to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he graduated Cum Laude in 2009 with a degree emphasizing performance and composition. Harris was awarded the McCord Musical Scholarship 2005 & 2006, the Holly Kettman Memorial Scholarship 2005. 2005-2009 Harris was awarded to the Dean's List of Academic Excellence every semester of attendance. In 2023 Harris was awarded the Denis Diderot Grant from the Chateau d'Orquevaux. Harris has taught at institutions such as the Lexington Music Center, Massachusetts and the La Jolla Piano Institute in California.

After graduating, Cabell moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina where he lived and connected to the local music scene. He traveled throughout South America, absorbing diverse musical influences of tango, samba and other folkloric styles. His experiences further shaped his artistic vision and approach. Returning from South America he moved to New York City where he began a professional career in music.

His father, Marc Cabell Harris, is a modernist painter known for his vivid, cubist-inspired works and a long career in the textile and fine art worlds. His mother's work (Peggy Harris) seen at countless photo shoots, trade shows, and sales floors. His uncle, Josh Harris, an original member of The Untouchables; now reggae producer and record label founder of Big Feet Records. His grandfather, Edward Jurgen Harris, was a renowned jazz impresario and surrealist painter. His grandmother, Jean Harris, community figure, writer and fashion couturier.

His music, often characterized by its dramatic, gritty and ethereal qualities; reflects his passion for blending the orchestral and traditional instrumentation with genre ambiguity. Drawing on his love for the modern as well as impressionists and 20th century, Cabell crafts sonic worlds that are both immersive and emotionally resonant.

Currently, Cabell continues to perform, compose and produce in Los Angeles; working with a wide array of artists and projects that span the spectrum of genres from classical to pop.
