Biography

Alisha Sarafina is a Chicago-based, Metro-Detroit-raised independent producer and screenwriter.

During her time in Chicago, Alisha has worked on short films and music videos as a Producer and Line Producer, as well as a Production Assistant on several national commercials. While at Columbia College Chicago, Alisha was the Production Coordinator for the Chicago-based violin-learning app TRALA and was entrusted by the CEO to direct the last two days of production with Grammy-winning violinists. She also interned for SAGindie during the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.

In the last few years, Alisha has worked full-time on Chicago Med as a Costumes Production Assistant and was recently inducted into I.A.T.S.E. Local 769 in the Theatrical Wardrobe Union, where she works as a Costumer throughout Chicago and Michigan.

Alisha's vision extends beyond producing films. She is a board member for the Digital Arts, Film and Television (DAFT) non-profit in Michigan, where she has co-taught Focal Point, a week-long summer film camp for high school students. Every spring, she also judges and compiles data for the annual Michigan Student Film Festival that takes place at the DIA. Alisha hopes to inspire the next generation of filmmakers and show them that this is a viable career path, contributing to the growth and diversity of the film industry.

Alisha is in development on her first two projects under her production company, Doting Bird Productions. Her company aims to be an incubator for newcomers, focusing on building a strong foundation through story and script development.
