  • Pozo's early career was in the field of feature animation. He won the Spanish Goya Award for the film 'El Cid, the legend' (2004 - Filmax) which also won other international awards, and was sold in more than 45 countries. He also directed the feature film 'Donkey Xote' (2007 - Filmax) in an international co-production with Italy, also nominated for a Goya Award. As a producer in this genre, highlighting the anime 'Gisaku' (2007 - Filmax), and 'Nocturna, a Magical adventure' (Goya Award) (2007 - Filmax) also nominated at the prestigious 'Annecy International Animated Film Festival'.

    Pozo also has a long track record as a fiction producer, highlighting the feature 'Nick' (2016 - Imminent), 'The Caribbean, all inclusive' (2018 - Tindaya), 'Solo' (2018 - Netflix) or 'Olympics' (2022 - Universal Pictures Spain) leading the Spanish box office in summer 2022.

    In his leap to fiction as a screenwriter and director are the feature films 'Nick' (2016), and '73 minutes' (2018). His daring, and irreverent short film 'Plastic Killer' (2022), was recently presented at the 25th edition of the 'Malaga Film Festival' and is participating (among others) in the prestigious 'Vancouver International Film Festival' and the 'Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival'. The short film has entered the shortlist (Top15) for Best live action short film at the 2023 Academy Awards.
