Biography

Joyce Kulhawik was born in 1954 in Connecticut, USA. She is an actress, known for Jac & Jill (1986), Community Auditions: Star of the Day (2007) and WBZ News (1965). She has been married to Andrew Cohen since 1979. They have one child.

Is a three time survivor of ovarian cancer and member of the Boston Society of Film Critics.

Lives in the greater Boston area with her husband and daughter, who was conceived with the help of a surrogate mother.

Best remembered for her infamous review on Magnolia (1999) during Siskel & Ebert program when she was a guest reviewing the film along with Roger Ebert. Her negative review astounded Ebert, since he considered that film one of the top ten films of year. Ironically, the opposite happened months later with her love of Gladiator which Ebert found too dark and routine with other gladiator movies. She said it's one of the greatest movies she's ever seen.
