Biography

Nino Cochise was born on February 20, 1874 in Chiricahua Apache Reservation, Arizona, USA. He was an actor, known for Natas: The Reflection (1986) and You Bet Your Life (1950). He was married to Minnie Cochise. He died on December 23, 1984 in Arizona, USA.

Grandson of legendary Chiricahua Apache chief Cochise. The Rock Hudson western, Taza, Son of Cochise (1954) was a highly fictionalized story about his father; although he was one of Taza's sons, the film doesn't mention him.

Nino was actually Robert Lee Majors who died in 1984 at age 75. He had been masquerading as Apache royalty for years, according to Ben Traywick, Tombstone, Arizona authority and town historian.

He stated that his father was Taza, older son of the Apache leader Cochise. But Taza was never married and had no children.
