- Robi Shankar Chowdhury is an Indian filmmaker who works as a director and screenwriter from Kolkata, he has spent years in Germany where he attended University and also was a member of theater group which was his first foray into visual storytelling.
He has directed a few short films and commercials. He has co-written the feature film Jatugriha (2022), which is a suspenseful and gripping thriller about a couple who moves into a haunted house and uncovers a dark secret and directed the short film, Khwahish, an adaptation of the classic, Monkey's Paw.
He was inspired to become a filmmaker by his love for storytelling. He uses stark and powerful visuals to carry his voice across, and prefers minimal dialogues to let the images speak for themselves.
