Biography

Craig Brooks is a filmmaker, producer and creative director whose work spans commercial production, documentary filmmaking and automotive culture.

After working in photography and production in Los Angeles and New York, Brooks moved to Seattle and founded Kontent Partners in 2006. Built as an independent production company, KP has gone on to create film and photography for brands around the world, with Brooks working across creative direction, production and filmmaking.

His curiosity about cars, design and the people drawn to them eventually led him to create Rennfilms, an automotive and motorsport-focused filmmaking studio. What began as a personal outlet became a growing body of short documentary and editorial films exploring not simply the machines, but the people behind them and the reasons they devote themselves to things that are often difficult, impractical and deeply rewarding.

His films have taken him from workshops and quiet back roads to racetracks across the United States and Europe, documenting designers, racers, craftspeople, collectors and other people who have built lives around what they love.

Across both commissioned and personal work, Brooks' approach remains much the same: stay curious, surround yourself with talented people, pay attention, and make the story as honestly and beautifully as you can.
