Andy worked as a young theater actor and attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts under the name "Andy Charles", in 1993. He is mostly a producer these days.

Outside of the industry, Andy has done what most actors pretend to do, including serve in the Army and fly bush planes in Alaska and the Yukon Territory and raced motorcycles. He was a deputy sheriff and even spent a summer as the Ice Cream Man. He considers the Discovery Channel, "Home Movies", as he often sees his old familiar stomping grounds on TV. He has also been known to play bass with bands around the Seattle music scene and has produced both rock and symphony concerts there.

He started the production company, "Prolific Motion Picture and Sound", in his hometown, Sacramento, California, in 1998. As an "indie film business man", he was featured Tech TV's "Internet Tonight", as well as in the USA Today, New York Times and Videomaker Magazine and premiered his first documentary at the Sci-Fi Channel's Film Festival in New York, 2000. It was distributed domestically and internationally by First Run Features. He became a commercial TV producer in 2000 and has really never stopped. He was CEO of EZTV Spots, and in 2015 started the development record label, Jingle Foot Records, focusing on new talent. He continues to produce media and live events for himself and for clients.
