- Barnett originated the role of Posner in the award winning National Theatre production of The History Boys. He repeated the role in regional and international tours of the play and on Broadway, where he received a Tony nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Play. He trained at LAMDA and has appeared at the National in His Dark Materials, and in The Accrington Pals at the Chichester Festival Theatre. His television work includes The Royal, Doctors and The Inspector Lynley Mysteries.
