Biography

Akash Mahamana is an accomplished Indian film and theatre actor whose journey in the performing arts began at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. There, alongside six of his friends, he co-founded the Chhaap Theatre Group, which became a platform for their creative expression through various street plays. Their inventive performances garnered critical acclaim and multiple awards, setting the stage for Akash's future endeavors in acting. His charisma and talent have captivated audiences, notably through his compelling portrayal of SI Shyam Pandey in the popular web series 'Candy.' Additionally, he has showcased his versatile acting skills as Gajendra Singh, a TV reporter, in the film 'Dry Day.'

Throughout his decade-long journey in theatre, Akash honed his craft and developed a deep understanding of character embodiment and storytelling. His formal education at the prestigious Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts in New Delhi marked a significant milestone in his career, culminating in his graduation in 2017. During his time at the Centre, he received accolades for his performances in impactful plays such as 'Bloody Bombay,' 'Ek Aur Dronacharya,' and 'Rakt Kalyan,' which solidified his reputation as a talented actor.
