Jonathan Doe is an American filmmaker, YouTuber, podcaster, and photographer. He founded the production company Putrid Productions in 2018, which encompasses his distribution label Vile Video Productions, his YouTube channels Cinemas Underbelly and Murderabilia Show & Tell, and his podcasts the Uneasy Terrain Explorers Club, Smutopia, and True Crime Bedtime Stories. Doe has built a reputation for his extensive collecting and conservation of lost, forgotten, and controversial media; as well as true crime artifacts. In 2021 Doe launched an ongoing fetish-gore series entitled Erotic Grotesque Nonsense, consisting of Barf Bunny (2021), The Degenerates (2021) , Defilement of a Porcelain Doll (2022), and Majestic Flesh Faucet of Projectile Bile (2025). He also released a companion piece title Symphony of Suffering, which is an anthology of fetish-gore films consisting of himself and various other filmmakers from the genre. Most recently Mr. Doe has ventured into the world of documentaries, with The Art of Self-Harm (2023), Amanda Taylor: The Selfie Killer in Her Own Words (2025), If Trees Could Talk: A Conversation with Terry Hobbs (2025), and the upcoming The Legend of Uncle Goddamn (2025).
