Omar Hashem is a Saudi film producer, director, writer, and actor, and the founder of Moya Pictures. He is a graduate of Arizona State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Film and Media Production, a Master’s degree in Creative Enterprise and Cultural Leadership, and an MBA in Finance and AI.
Omar is a two-time double lung transplant recipient and a lymphoma cancer survivor, experiences that have profoundly shaped his creative vision and resilience driven storytelling. In addition to his work in film, he is a two-time Guinness World Records holder, reflecting his commitment to pushing boundaries both creatively and personally.
He is known for producing films such as Lifeline, Abduction, and What’s Happening. Alongside his filmmaking career, Omar is currently an adjunct lecturer at King Saud University and Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, where he teaches film and media related courses and contributes to developing the next generation of Saudi creatives.
