Nicolas Dozol is a Swiss-French film director whose work fuses the language of movement with the inner life of his characters. Before stepping behind the camera, he trained as a dancer at the Lyon Conservatoire and the Rudra Béjart School in Lausanne and worked with the Paris Opera Ballet, a background that gives his filmmaking a rare physical and emotional precision, where every frame is choreographed and every gesture carries meaning.

He refined that instinct into a directorial craft at the Conservatoire Libre du Cinéma Français in Paris, then deepened it through Story Analysis at UCLA Extension and Positive Psychology at Harvard Medical School, an approach that makes psychology the engine of his storytelling.

As a director, Nicolas has helmed award-winning short films, documentaries, and commercials that have screened at international festivals and aired on Amazon Prime and Apple TV. He has also collaborated on major global productions, including The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon (2023), John Woo's The Killer (2024), and Étoile (2025). He enjoys blending dance, psychology, and narrative, bringing a distinctive perspective to emotionally resonant, visually driven cinema.
