Storm Ashwood is an Australian film director, writer, and producer known for his thought-provoking and deeply human films. This academic foundation paved the way for his success as both a writer and director of two standout feature films. Escape and Evasion, a critically acclaimed thriller, spent six weeks on Netflix's Top 10 and was nominated for a prestigious Chinese Academy Award. The School, a chilling psychological horror, streaming on STAN and Amazon Prime.
His poignant long-short film Paper Planes, which tells the heartbreaking story of a child soldier in Sudan, earned international recognition and garnered a nomination at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts.
