- Aleksandr Averkov is a Soviet and Belarusian actor and TV presenter. Honored cultural figure of the Republic of Belarus.
In 1984 he graduated from the Mikhail Shchepkin Higher Theater School, course of Viktor Korshunov. After graduating from college, he was assigned to Belarusian television, where he started as a talk actor for the main directorate of children's programs, and as a director of sports programs. He gained wide fame, primarily in Belarus, as a TV presenter.
Since 1984, he has been acting in films, debuting in the films Inoplanetyanka (1985) and Mikhaylo Lomonosov (1986). Then the actor had a long break from filming and he returned to the screen only in 2002, playing the role of Sergeev in the TV series Zakon (2002). In 2013, he played one of the leading roles in Vyacheslav Lavrov's crime drama 'Steal Me'.
