Giannis Tsortekis

Giannis Tsortekis is a Greek actor and director known for his work in film, television, and theatre. A graduate of the National Theatre of Greece and the Department of Theatre Studies at the University of Patras, he has built a career combining stage and screen performances. He gained widespread recognition for his role in the television adaptation of M. Karagatsis' short story To 10 (2007) on Alpha TV. His film work includes Stratos (2014) and Ballad for a Pierced Heart (2020), for which he won the Best Actor award in 2021. Tsortekis has appeared in notable TV series including Kart postal (2021), Maestro (2022), and O Skaravaios (2024). In theatre, he received the "Karolos Koun" award in 2009 for his performance in Dimitris Maronitis' Mavri Galini.
