Charlie has been working in the industry for over thirty five years. Starting in theatre as a tech and then a lighting designer. Charlie moved onto directing film in 1997.
In 2012 Charlie started Reel Brooklyn Films specifically for making documentary films. Starting with Rescue! Brooklyn in 2012.
Over the following 15 years Charlie has produced and directed five full length documentary feature films.

In 2022 Charlie his new documentary film "Trumpism and the American Jewish Community" was picked up for distribution by Adler & Associates Entertainment for world wide distribution and is available on Amazon Prime
In 2024 Charlie Directed and Produced the award winning "Rising Tides - Climate Change, Congress and America's FIsherman on the Brink. - Winner Best Feature Film 2024 Environmental Film Festival.
in 2025 Charlie co-produce with Caitlin Krenn, and directed "Outcast Nation, LGBTQIA+ -Homeless, Unseen, In New York City, which is being broadcast Nationally on local PBS stations and the PBS App.
