- Married Swedish model and television host Charlotte Karlinder three months after they had first met. Since mid-2005 they have lived apart and were divorced 2009. During his marriage he took a double name, Peer Karlinder Kusmagk.
- Together with actor Rhon Diels, he opened in 2006, the French Bar and Restaurant La Raclette in the Berlin district of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. His restaurant was destroyed by fire in October 2010. Trigger for this was, according to the insurance, a cable fire. Through the support of friends and his family, he could reopen his restaurant in November 2010 already.
