- In Leppard, we use a lot of stereo delay. Our tempos are the same every night - Rick Allen is a stickler for tempos, so if a song is 105 BPM we know it will be every night. The sound is very produced, not what you'd call organic, and we do a good job of recreating it live. To ensure that happens, we're very specific with our delays.
- To me, guitar playing is not just a technical thing. Jeff Beck is the most creative guitar player, I think. What impresses me is not so much how he plays something, but where do it come from? How does he think of it? He seems to be able to pull these ideas from nowhere. He doesn't seem to think the same as most guitar players.
