Genevieve Bergdorf

Genevieve Victoria Bergdorf is a Los Angeles-based actress, acting instructor, singer, songwriter, recording artist, dancer, dance instructor, licensed Cosmetologist & Esthetician. She was born in Orange, California. She grew up with her mother, Melanie Toledo-Bergdorf who is of Filipina descent and originally from Molokai, Hawaii. She has studied acting at Berg Studios and improv at The Groundlings in Los Angeles, California. Later she began her studies at My Acting Studio in Long Beach, California, under the direction of Charles Tentindo, where she is now on faculty. Some of her credits include: Disney's Flashback (The Disneyland Resort), Pippin (Robert B Moore Theatre), Scenes from Mae West's "Sex" (Aurora Theatre), What's Up Newport:Burlesque (OCC Film), Saint Drunk (Stephen Patrick Film), Stay Connected (Celine Zabout Film), Heliocentric (VO The Ameoba People), UnSung Heros (El Rey Theatre), Tom Kubis Ensemble (Golden West Theatre), Michael Jackson Tribute (Bob & Barbra Ellis Auditorium), Burlesque (The Namm Show)(The Mint). She began dancing ballet, jazz and tap at the age of three. During college she had an intense focus in the study of ballet, jazz, modern, salsa and swing styles. She performed on stage in the Long Beach City College Dance Concerts for 4 years. Genevieve has performed in the Art of Burlesque since the early 2000's where she developed her solo act and made her own costumes. Genevieve studied music in jazz & marching band where she played the clarinet and sang in show choir throughout high school. She then went on to community college to study acting, musical theatre, many styles of dance, jazz vocal music and studio sound engineering. She studied the History of Jazz with the Legendary Jazz Bassist Art Davis. She has sung with jazz ensembles under composer Tom Kubis. Genevieve went to beauty school for 2 years and became a licensed Cosmetologist & Esthetician, and has worked on sets for film, theater and runway.
