Jozsef Kiss is an experienced Head of Construction and Construction Manager based in Hungary. As CEO of Movie Set Zrt, he works on film and television productions, overseeing the engineering and construction of film sets and working closely with the Art Department. He has worked on more than 250 film and television productions.
After graduating as an architectural engineer in 1986, he began working in the set construction department at Mafilm, first as a Construction Manager's assistant and later as Construction Manager and Supervising Construction Manager. During this period he worked on film productions including Music Box (1989), Sunshine (1999), Spy Game (2001), Munich (2005) and Fateless (2005).
In 2006 he founded his own set construction company, Movie Set, and has since worked on major international and Hungarian productions including The Rite (2011), A Good Day to Die Hard (2013), Son of Saul (2015), Blade Runner 2049 (2017) and The Brutalist (2024). His work also includes Academy Award-winning productions for Best Production Design such as Dune: Part One (2021) and Poor Things (2023).
