A lifetime of commitment and dedication to the art of filmmaking and the many industries it serves is the proud achievement of David Allen Cress.

Television, feature films, documentaries, music videos, and advertising have all formed part of his repertoire. He has a knack for pooling the right talent; guiding and launching directing careers; and bringing the highest level of production value to every endeavor.

Uniquely equipped to provide clients with any type of creative capability they might need, David has formed bonds with an exceptional blend of craftspeople, directors, photographers, animators and writers. This allows him to bridge the gap between talent and emerging trends in music, advertising and entertainment for his clients. He is actively participating in vitalizing the Oregon film community and has established fine credentials and relationships in Argentina, Greece, Italy, Mexico and Spain through hands-on filmmaking in each country.

David was recently nominated for an Emmy award for Best Television Comedy for helping produce the Peabody Award winning series Portlandia, David produced a segment of the Kurt Cobain documentary Montage of Heck. His feature film experience includes the Independent Spirit nominated best feature Paranoid Park. Narrative and documentary work that includes Honorable Mention at the Sundance Film Festival. Festival. Music video work for Thome Yorke, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Sleater Kinney, have also garnered awards. Including a Jury Prize for best Music Video at SXSW Film Festival.

As a founding partner of Foodchain Films, he envisioned and established the commercial production company as a home for talented people. By providing directors a haven to thrive in, he offers clients a wellspring of intuitive artists with an ability to communicate brand messaging that cut through today's crowded marketplace. The advertising roster soon spoke for itself. Adidas, Budweiser, ESPN, Miller Lite, MTV and Pennzoil, all broadened their spectrum of great productions repeatedly with the company. Awards bestowed include a host of stand out work recognized by Cannes, Clio, CA, and One Show.

He insists there is no special trick to it, but he has worked with celebrated directors, actors, writers and athletes. Fred Armisen to Mr T, Gus Van Sant to Evil Knievel, the key is respecting everyone's time and contribution.
