Biography

Born in Toronto, Ontario, bred in Nashville, Tennessee, Anna began her acting career at age 5, starring in her first stage production by age 7. Her TV and film career began shortly after in the re-enactment series It's A Miracle (1998) and her first short film "School Colors" (2000). A childhood of local theatre, television, indie shorts, and even a stint as a model, she went on to earn a BFA in Theatre Performance from the University of Evansville while focusing on regional theatre. Her participation in the 2010 New Harmony Project led her on to Los Angeles where, alongside more award-winning indie shorts, her theatre career flourished. She appeared with such companies as Circle X Theatre Co, Write Act Rep, and Sacred Fools Theatre Co., during which she won the LA Weekly 2014 Best Female Comedy Performance Award for her portrayal of the beloved Charles Schultz character Lucy Van Pelt in the world premiere of "Absolutely Filthy", which went on to win both the Hollywood and NYC Fringe Festivals. Having always maintained her dual citizenship, Anna returned to Toronto in 2013 to focus on film and television, working on shows like Mrs. America (2021), Law & Order: Criminal Intent Toronto (2025), and her most recent series regular on Underbelly (2025). Her starring role of Daphne Daniels in Bygone Theatre Company's re-imagining of Hitchcock's "The Birds" won Anna the 2023 Broadwayworld Toronto Award for Best Performer. Anna now splits her time between Canada and the US, pulling inspiration from the many places she calls home.
