Stefanie was born in Evanston, Illinois, to Ukrainian and Moldovan immigrant parents. She is a writer, actor, and director whose work spans comedy and drama, ranging from absurdist humor to grounded, character-driven storytelling. Her work centers around women and their experiences, exploring the desires, contradictions, and humor of modern life. She studied improv at The Groundlings and speaks four languages.
