Aneesa Khan(I)

Aneesa Khan (she/her) is a South Asian American filmmaker, producer, and writer and a Northwestern University alumna. Having worked in film and television around the world since age 15, she has dedicated her career to projects that highlight marginalized groups as they truly are and champion female-led stories. She served as associate producer and film consultant on "Mirrors," starring Deepti Gupta and Academy Award nominee Paul Raci. Her short film "The Girl With Anklets" earned Best Cinematography at the Pakistani Film Festival Australia 2021 and was selected for six global film festivals. She has previously held roles at Blumhouse Productions and Women in Entertainment. Aneesa's latest short film "Criteria Kya Hai?," a coming-of-age comedy, made waves on the 2024 film festival circuit with over ten official selections. In the past year alone, she has produced six indie films, all of which were pioneered by South Asian and/or Muslim filmmakers.
