Ryan Nicholas Cooper

Ryan Nicholas Cooper is an actor who is drawn to stories that shape the future, illuminate the past, define us now, and make us better people. Whether working with comedy or drama, theater or film, Ryan enters rehearsal rooms eager to dig into text to find the best way to tell a given story. His undergraduate training at Boston College taught him to appreciate all aspects of theater. There, he studied acting, directing, improv, carpentry, props design, lighting, and dramaturgy. Synthesizing the skills and knowledge he gained from each area, Ryan was able to gain a deeper understanding of performance and the value of collaboration. After Boston College, Ryan attended The New School, where he received an MFA in acting. In his graduate degree he studied a variety of techniques, including Meisner, Grotowski, Analysis through Action, classical text, mask, and clown. His studies in classical work, modern technique, and text analysis elevated his level of performance and provided him with the tools to tackle difficult roles with dedication and rigor. Ryan's ever-present love of acting drives him to explore and challenge himself to seek out new and powerful stories to tell.
