Sarah Murphy-Dyson worked with Phillip Seymour Hoffman in Capote, and "knew" she had to pursue an acting career, so promptly retired from touring the world as top professional ballerina. Sarah won a Gemini Award (CSA) for The Tale of the Magic Flute, a Dora Mavor Moore Award for her performance in People, Places, and Things onstage with The Coalmine Theatre in Toronto
Known for playing Rachel Teller in the popular Hallmark Mysteries series, True Justice;Family Ties, Sarah has appeared on Suits (NBC), The Handmaid's Tale (Hulu), 12 Monkeys (SYFY) and was one of the leads in the CBC Webseries OffKilter
Onstage she has an award winning solo show, The Naked Ballerina and has premiered five George F Walker plays, was one of Gary Smith's Top Performers of 2014 (Hamilton Spectator), and is honored to work as a dance coach at the Shaw Festival.
Sarah is represented by Emily Klama, Alex Best, and Erica Fairfield at Amanda Rosenthal Talent. She lives with her daughter, Riley, in Toronto
