Biography

Glenn McQuaid is an Irish filmmaker and writer from Dublin. His debut feature, I Sell the Dead (2008), became a festival favorite for its fresh take on classic horror. In 2011, he co-created the audio series Tales from Beyond the Pale with longtime collaborator Larry Fessenden, producing more than fifty original works. His other credits include the "Tuesday the 17th" segment of V/H/S (2012). McQuaid's latest feature, The Restoration at Grayson Manor, continues his focus on character-driven, emotionally charged storytelling.

Grew up as part of the Dublin Youth Theatre. Wrote his first script "The Morticians" when he was 13.

Fell in love with movie making while on the set of Jim Sheridan's The Field.

Plays 2nd row with New York's Gotham Knights Rugby Football Club and Dublin's Emerald Warriors.
