Lampropoulou Marilita

Marilita Lampropoulou is a Greek actress and theatre director whose work spans on film, television and stage. A graduate of the Theatre Studies Department of the University of Patras, she began her career in theatre before establishing herself as a leading presence in Greek cinema and television.
In 2003, she was selected as Greece’s representative among the European Shooting Stars at the Berlin International Film Festival, an initiative of the European Film Promotion highlighting emerging acting talent from across Europe.
Her film work includes acclaimed performances in Athens Blues and The King (O Vasilias), for which she received the Greek Film Critics’ Quality Award.
On television, she has portrayed a wide range of leading characters in both drama and comedy. She is best known for her portrayal of Vasiliki in the hit drama series Sasmos and for her leading role in Revenge Games (Paichnidia Ekdikisis). Earlier in her career, she gained widespread recognition through the popular series Western Suburbs’ Lover (Erastis Dytikon Proasteion).
Alongside her acting career, Lampropoulou has developed a significant body of work as a theatre director. Her productions include works by Harold Pinter, Stefan Zweig, Eugene O’Neill, Carl Sternheim, Percy Bysshe Shelley and Emmanuel Roidis, presented at venues and institutions including the Athens Epidaurus Festival, Theatre Poreia, Theatre Skrow, Theatre Amore and the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus.
Her work, both as an actress and director, is marked by a strong interest in literature, psychology and the complexity of human relationships. She continues to work across theatre, television and film, exploring stories that place the inner lives of their characters at the forefront.
