Biography

Vladimir Abazupolo is a Soviet and Ukrainian theater and film actor. People's Artist of Ukraine. In 1977, Vladimir graduated from the acting department of the Kiev State Institute of Theater Arts named after Ivan Karpenko-Karyy (course of Valentina Zimnyaya). In the same year he became an actor at the Ivan Franko Theater in Kiev. He taught stage movement lessons at the Kiev Conservatory, gave master classes at the Kiev University of Arts Culture.

Despite being diagnosed with cancer and losing his voice, Abazopulo underwent throat surgery and continued acting with the help of a voice prosthesis. Several of his roles were adapted to be non-verbal. He also teaches stage movement at the Kyiv Conservatory and the Kyiv University of Culture and Arts.
