Biography

She landed the role in Student's Hearts (2002) one week before the soap opera's premiere. She only met her father personally a few years ago. Her parents divorced when she was very little, and her father, who is a journalist, moved to Londrina, in the Brazilian south state of Paraná, where he started a new family. Her mother is a teacher.

She started modeling at age 12 and by the time she was 18, she was already tired of it, and considered going to college to major in architecture, photography or plastic arts.

Owner of beefy lips and expressive green eyes, Aline Moraes first showed interest for a modeling career at age seven. But she only started modeling at age 12, when she moved with her mother from her hometown Sorocaba to the big São Paulo. A month after signing with Elite agency, Aline was already photographing for Ellus. Until age 18, she lived in New York, USA, and in countries like France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Japan. Among her most important campaigns, is the one she made at age 15 for the perfume 5th Avenue, by Elizabeth Arden, in New York.

In the middle of 2001, she decided to come back to Brazil to get into an university in São Paulo where she planned majoring in architecture. The plan, however, had to be left aside when the opportunity to become an actress unexpectedly showed up. Director Ricardo Waddington received a book from Marilyn agency with several photos of Aline and loved it. Soon, he asked the model to audition for the role of Rosane on the Brazilian six-o'clock soap opera, Student's Hearts (2002) (Student's Heart). Rosane was a single mother, Agronomy major who raised her son at a coed fraternity. Other than the actress' looks, Waddington also thought interesting the fact that Aline and Rosane had very similar life stories. "Rosane had a lot to do with me. I was raised by my mother alone and I had to share lots of apartments when I was a model", she said.
