Biography

Mokksha is an accomplished actress and a classically trained dancer with a thriving career across multiple Indian film industries.

Born and raised in Kolkata, she earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology (Honors) from the University of Calcutta. Her schooling was completed at St. Claret School, Barrackpore (ICSE), and Douglas Memorial Higher Secondary School (ISC). Alongside her academic pursuits, she mastered Bharatanatyam, Kathak, and Odissi, establishing herself as a skilled stage performer.

She began her professional journey as a teacher and choreographer at St. Augustine Day School, Barrackpore. In 2019, she transitioned to acting, making her debut in the Bengali film industry with supporting roles. Her breakthrough came in 2020 with Karma, an OTT release where she played the protagonist. The film garnered significant acclaim, particularly from audiences outside Kolkata. Other notable Bengali projects include Sorsephool, the web series Rawktabilaap, and Sudakshinar Sari.

In 2021, she expanded her horizons to South Indian cinema, debuting in Tamil with Yeevaal. The following year, she made her Telugu debut in the family drama Lucky Lakshman (2022) and continued with Alanaati Ramachandrudu (2024). She entered the Malayalam film industry in 2023 with Kallanum Bhagavathiyum, where her performance as Devi Bhagavathi received wide recognition.

Her career continued to soar in 2024 with two major releases: the Malayalam film Chithini and the Telugu film Alanaati Ramachandrudu. Looking ahead,In 2025, Mokksha is set for her Kannada debut in Neelavanthi 2025 which is currently in shoot. Followed an major appearance in Ramam Raghavam, a bilingual Tamil-Telugu film, slated for a February release.
