Susanne McDonald(I)
- Actress
From New York to Boston to Charleston, SC Susanne has been working as an actor up and down the East coast (while also dabbling in directing and production work of all kinds) for many years.
Although she has a passion for theatre, it was films, television, and weekly Blockbuster visits as a kid that made her want to be an actor. She often still skips out of movie theatres with childish delight.
For the past several years, Susanne has been working in film. She will never forget her very first professional audition with Slate Casting in Boston with director John Stimpson.
She was even nominated for Best Actress in the SouthEast Regional Film Festival in her very first appearance on film. Most recently, she has been passionate about the Independent film scene and collaborating with filmmakers of all kinds.
She earned her BFA in Contemporary Theatre from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2020. While attending the Boston Conservatory, she was able to work closely with Marcus Giamatti and devised countless theatrical performances with her beloved ensemble. They were able to tour their production of "The Bald Soprano" to the Orlando Fringe Mini Winter Festival and to the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. They won three Kennedy Center American College Theatre awards with their devised production of "Displaced: A Response to Urban." In 2016 she graduated from the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities in Drama following in the footsteps of her favorite alum actor, Nicole Beharie.
Susanne was able to study Shakespeare at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts where she earned a diploma in Classical Acting where she fell in love with London. She often dreams about her favorite British drink, a bramble, and the Royal Shakespeare Company's adaptation of Richard III.
Now located in New York City and willing to travel. Seeking legit and voiceover representation in the Northeast Proudly represented in the southeast by Coastal Talent and is extremely thankful for her manager, Jackie Reid at Lil Angels Unlimited
