Mini bio

  • Born on 7 August, 1987 to Jerry and Gigi Weisman, he lived in middle-class suburbia. In elementary school, when Jake was 8, he discovered stage acting and played the coveted "Mad Hatter" role in a play called "The Capuachu Crisis." Every year after that he performed in plays and got more and more recognition. In 1999 was his big breakthrough. Jake answered an advertisement in the summer of 1999 to be in an independent film. Jake went to the local college where he was to audition and there he met 'Andrew Bowen' and landed a part in _Haven, The (1999)_ as Bowen's character at a younger age. Jake filmed and thus began his true career as an actor. He has been in 7 plays since 'The Haven', including one of the leads in "This is a Test" and a character in the BHS revival of "Me and My Girl." Aside from acting, Jake Weisman has been very interested in film as a whole. After seeing _Clerks (1994)_ and delving into Kevin Smith's "View Askewniverse", Weisman decided that Independent film was the way to go, all the way. He began writing and watching more and more films. His inspiration for film and writing in general is Smith, Wes Anderson, Owen Wilson and Quentin Tarantino. Jake currently resides in his home town of Burlington, VT and attends Burlington High School.
