Musician, songwriter and studio engineer Jason "Halogen" Dunn hails from Burlington, VT and Boston, MA, and resides in Los Angeles, CA.
On the US East Coast, Halogen wrote, recorded and performed with the bands The Halogens (1999-2005) and The Luxury (2005-2015) before moving to Los Angeles, releasing 6 albums of material, sharing stages with bands like Coldplay, Dresden Dolls, Santigold and David Lee Roth, winning the 31st Annual WBCN Rumble, charting on CMJ, and spearheading the Boston Does Boston project to benefit the Animal Rescue League, which brought together over 40 Boston area bands to cover each other's original songs in their own style.
A multi-instrumental songwriter and producer, Halogen began working on his solo record, "Disasterpiece Theatre" (rel. Oct 2021) shortly after arriving in LA. Halogen wrote and performed nearly every instrument on the record, which was then mixed in his home studio.
Since being drafted by Low Light Pictures to compose his first feature-length film soundtrack for "Stray Dogs", Halogen has been awarded Best Score (Beyond The Curve IFF, Paris) and Best Sound (Smoky Mountain Film Festival).
