Colin Shuran

Colin Shuran is a writer and filmmaker from Tennessee. He is best known for his award-winning documentary My Friend Karl (2020), garnering Houston International Film Festival's Remi Award, which has seen the likes of notable filmmakers such as Steven Spielberg, the Coen Brothers, Spike Lee, and many others. His other works include the documentary Walls for Women (2020), a short comedy This Side Up (2021), and his TEDx speech on empathy (2023). In his free time, Colin enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing piano or the drumset, and exploring the world.
