Susanna Velasquez

Susanna Velasquez is an American actress, producer, and musical theater performer with a rich and varied career in the entertainment industry. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, she grew up in a vibrant Mexican American family deeply rooted in the city’s musical community, where her great grandmother served as show director for the local Mexican fiestas.

Susanna’s musical theater career includes lead and supporting roles in iconic productions such as "The King and I" (featuring Shirley Jones), "West Side Story," "Hello, Dolly!," and "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers." Her stage presence extended to major venues including Walt Disney World, where she performed alongside legends such as Bob Hope, Smokey Robinson, Tommy Tune, Carol Lawrence, and Ben Vereen. At EPCOT, she captivated audiences as the Emcee and Lead Vocalist in the World Dancer shows and brought Pocahontas to life in "Pocahontas and Her Forest Friends."

Transitioning into film and television, Susanna has appeared in a variety of commercials and TV/film projects, including "Dopesick," "The Game," "General Hospital," "Gilmore Girls," and the feature film "Past Shadows." She also made her mark as host of the Orlando based, Telly Award winning music video show "Control Track," where she interviewed CCM and Gospel artists.

In recent years, Susanna served as executive producer on award nominated short films such as "Revealed" and the musical "Where Is My Song," which garnered eight awards, including the Grand Jury Award at the 168 Film Festival in Atlanta, GA.

Outside the film industry, Susanna volunteers as an ambassador for the annual Walk For Life fundraisers, supporting four medical clinics in Hampton Roads, VA that provide free ultrasounds, parenting classes, and essential supplies for a baby’s first year.
