Yorgo Glynatsis is a Belgian, Greek, Italian BAFTA and BIFA qualified film director based in London. He is a member of Directors UK and a voting member of the Belgian Film Academy. His award winning work has been featured on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and Tubi, with a focus on bold, emotional storytelling that amplifies marginalized voices.
His directorial debut Trigger (mentored by Netflix’s One Piece actor Taz Skylar) secured international distribution, while his co-directed short documentary Well Proud won Best Short Documentary at the South London Film Festival. His latest short, Koupepia, is an award winning Trans/Queer British Greek Cypriot story which was BAFTA qualified for Best British Short Film in 2026 and nominated for the Queer Media Award at the Gaydio Pride Awards.
Yorgo is developing his debut feature documentary Alpha Men: Reframing Masculinity with BAFTA nominated cinematographer Yiannis Manolopoulos and is attached as director for 2 feature narratives: Radio Beirut and Onorina. Recognised as a Queer Leader in Media and Creative Influence by We Create Space, he is also a speaker and mentor, committed to inclusive storytelling both on and off screen.
