Biography

Sophia Nomvete was born in Reading, Berkshire, England, UK. She is known for Mafia Mamma (2023), The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022) and Baldur's Gate III (2023).

Graduated from Arts Educational Schools London with a BA honours in Musical Theatre.

[When asked about the black female dwarf character Princess Disa in Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power] Well we learned that they exist, there and thank you so much Angelique for, um, noticing and acknowledging the fact that this the first time we see a woman and the first time that we see a black woman in this area.

[When asked about the San Diego Comic Con Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power Panel] I mean I soaked it in by realizing and reminding myself that this is my first time in America. You know, this is my first opening of the doors and what a way to be introduced to this amazing country and world. Um immediately I felt the support of all the people that were sitting out in front of me and so everything just relaxed, and I was able to um, enjoy their presence and enjoy how much they seem to love and be excited for our show.
