Christian Taylor is an accomplished producer and founder of Taylor Lane Productions, a Los Angeles-based company established in 2011.
His path was influenced by a family deeply connected to both media and the arts-his father, Peter Taylor, was a CBS executive and abstract painter whose work has been shown at Buecker and Harpsichords and 55 Mercer in New York and can be found in private and museum collections abroad, while his grandfather served as a U.S. Congressman and chairman of the board of Capital Cities Television/ABC.
After studying at St. Lawrence University and The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York, Taylor moved to Los Angeles, where he worked in talent and literary management at Industry Entertainment and Lighthouse Entertainment and for the President of Production at Ron Howard and Brian Grazer's Imagine Entertainment before founding his own production company.
Taylor's films have screened at prestigious festivals including the Toronto International Film Festival and Rome Film Festival. His notable producing credits include Measure of a Man (2019 Zlin Film Festival Jury Prize, 2018 ACS & NZCS Gold Awards), directed by Jim Loach (Oranges and Sunshine) from a screenplay by David Scearce (A Single Man), starring Donald Sutherland, Judy Greer, and Luke Wilson; Hick, based on Andrea Portes' novel, directed by Derick Martini, featuring Chloë Grace Moretz, Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne, and Blake Lively; and supernatural thriller Dreamkatcher (Lionsgate), starring Radha Mitchell, Lin Shaye, and Henry Thomas.
